Augusta Georgia Utilities Water Department
Augusta, Georgia is a political subdivision of the State of Georgia, created in 1996 as a consolidation of the former City and Richmond County. The Consolidated Government owns and operates a water supply, treatment and distribution system and a sanitary sewer treatment and collection system, which serves approximately 66,000 water customers and 50,000 wastewater customers, respectively. Augusta’s mission is to provide water that exceeds all Federal, State and local regulations; and provide wastewater services that inspires public confidence, all done environmentally friendly and in a cost-effective manner.
In search of a solution that would replace their outdated legacy system, and enable Augusta’s management team to make more informed decisions based on better reporting capabilities and data accuracy, Augusta partnered with S&S in 2002. With enQuesta, they were able to automate manual tasks and produce accurate reports in a user-friendly environment. Since 2002, Augusta has added e-billing capabilities, as well as other customer service and efficiency improvements to their system.
