Harris Utilities (Harris), a subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (TSX: CSU) is pleased to announce that Detroit Water and Sewerage Department (DWSD) has successfully gone live with Systems & Software’s (S&S) enQuesta 4 solution.
Detroit Water and Sewerage Department implemented a much earlier version of S&S’ enQuesta CIS solution in 2003, and in 2010 they brought their system up-to-date with the rich functionalities of enQuesta 3e. Again, in 2012, DWSD opted to take advantage of the many new technological advances and functional enhancements offered with enQuesta 4.

Gary Watkins, DWSD’s Manager of Commercial Operations, reported that since DWSD successfully went live with enQuesta 4, “The plan is to integrate the new enQuesta 4 functionality, specifically, work queues, on demand billing and job scheduler into the Optimization Program currently underway at DWSD. We believe that by leveraging the functionality available in enQuesta 4, some of the Department’s optimization goals can be met, by reducing redundant functions, streamlining business processes and developing more effective work distribution and monitoring.
The automation and enhanced workflow within the enQuesta 4 billing portal will allow departmental resources to be available to perform other tasks since billing will become automated and many functions will be scheduled to run unattended during off -peak hours.
This is a huge return on investment for DWSD and these efficiencies will allow DWSD to have more effective interactions with our customers”.
